She is a New York City-based Casting Director whose work spans television, film, commercials and theatre. She is currently a freelance casting assistant to Nancy Mosser Casting for an upcoming Disney/Hulu/Fox pilot and on various commercials. Maura just wrapped on Dexter: Resurrection (Paramount), which she worked on with Emmy-winning Casting Director Ross Meyerson. Previously, she contributed to  The Terror (AMC) Season 3, where she assisted Emmy-nominated Casting Director Mark Saks. Maura has trained under industry casting directors such as Avy Kaufman and Stephanie Klapper, and continues to grow her expertise through mentorships with Bess Fifer and Jason Styres. In addition to her television work, Maura casts independent films, where her sharp eye for talent, deep industry insight, and a passion for championing bold, character-driven stories add tremendous value to any project she works on. She is a proud member of New York Women in Film & Television and Teamsters Local 817.

 

Her Charity of Choice: 

The Bombers Beyond Cafe in New Jersey employees 18-22 year olds who are on the Autism spectrum. Working at the Cafe’ teaches them life skills, how to interact with the community and to build a career for themselves after their time at the cafe.
